Update typos to 1.29.6 (#17850)
# Objective

Update typos, fix new typos.

1.29.6 was just released to fix an
[issue](https://github.com/crate-ci/typos/issues/1228) where January's
corrections were not included in the binaries for the last release.

Reminder: typos can be tossed in the monthly [non-critical corrections
issue](https://github.com/crate-ci/typos/issues/1221).

## Solution

I chose to allow `implementors`, because a good argument seems to be
being made [here](https://github.com/crate-ci/typos/issues/1226) and
there is now a PR to address that.

## Discussion

Should I exclude `bevy_mikktspace`?

At one point I think we had an informal policy of "don't mess with
mikktspace until https://github.com/bevyengine/bevy/pull/9050 is merged"
but it doesn't seem like that is likely to be merged any time soon.

I think these particular corrections in mikktspace are fine because
- The same typo mistake seems to have been fixed in that PR
- The entire file containing these corrections was deleted in that PR

Use en-us locale for typos (#16037)
# Objective

Bevy seems to want to standardize on "American English" spellings. Not
sure if this is laid out anywhere in writing, but see also #15947.

While perusing the docs for `typos`, I noticed that it has a `locale`
config option and tried it out.

## Solution

Switch to `en-us` locale in the `typos` config and run `typos -w`

## Migration Guide

The following methods or fields have been renamed from `*dependants*` to
`*dependents*`.

- `ProcessorAssetInfo::dependants`
- `ProcessorAssetInfos::add_dependant`
- `ProcessorAssetInfos::non_existent_dependants`
- `AssetInfo::dependants_waiting_on_load`
- `AssetInfo::dependants_waiting_on_recursive_dep_load`
- `AssetInfos::loader_dependants`
- `AssetInfos::remove_dependants_and_labels`

Add no_std support to bevy_mikktspace (#15528)
# Objective

- Contributes to #15460
- Allows `bevy_mikktspace` to be used in `no_std` contexts.

## Solution

- Added `std` (default) and `libm` features which control the inclusion
of the standard library. To use `bevy_mikktspace` in `no_std`
environments, enable the `libm` feature.

## Testing

- CI
- `cargo clippy -p bevy_mikktspace --target "x86_64-unknown-none"
--no-default-features --features libm`

Add core and alloc over std Lints (#15281)
# Objective

- Fixes #6370
- Closes #6581

## Solution

- Added the following lints to the workspace:
  - `std_instead_of_core`
  - `std_instead_of_alloc`
  - `alloc_instead_of_core`
- Used `cargo +nightly fmt` with [item level use
formatting](https://rust-lang.github.io/rustfmt/?version=v1.6.0&search=#Item%5C%3A)
to split all `use` statements into single items.
- Used `cargo clippy --workspace --all-targets --all-features --fix
--allow-dirty` to _attempt_ to resolve the new linting issues, and
intervened where the lint was unable to resolve the issue automatically
(usually due to needing an `extern crate alloc;` statement in a crate
root).
- Manually removed certain uses of `std` where negative feature gating
prevented `--all-features` from finding the offending uses.
- Used `cargo +nightly fmt` with [crate level use
formatting](https://rust-lang.github.io/rustfmt/?version=v1.6.0&search=#Crate%5C%3A)
to re-merge all `use` statements matching Bevy's previous styling.
- Manually fixed cases where the `fmt` tool could not re-merge `use`
statements due to conditional compilation attributes.

## Testing

- Ran CI locally

## Migration Guide

The MSRV is now 1.81. Please update to this version or higher.

## Notes

- This is a _massive_ change to try and push through, which is why I've
outlined the semi-automatic steps I used to create this PR, in case this
fails and someone else tries again in the future.
- Making this change has no impact on user code, but does mean Bevy
contributors will be warned to use `core` and `alloc` instead of `std`
where possible.
- This lint is a critical first step towards investigating `no_std`
options for Bevy.

Fix underflow panic in InitTriInfo (#14893)
# Objective

- Fix #14874

## Solution

- Change the place where a panic occurs from `t < iNrTrianglesIn - 1` to
`t + 1 < iNrTrianglesIn`.

## Testing

- After the fix, the following code runs successfully without any panic.

Enable clippy::ref_as_ptr (#12918)
# Objective

[`clippy::ref_as_ptr`](https://rust-lang.github.io/rust-clippy/master/index.html#/ref_as_ptr)
prevents you from directly casting references to pointers, requiring you
to use `std::ptr::from_ref` instead. This prevents you from accidentally
converting an immutable reference into a mutable pointer (`&x as *mut
T`).
- Follow up to #11818, now that our [`rust-version` is
1.77](11817f4ba4/Cargo.toml (L14)).

## Solution

- Enable lint and fix all warnings.

Forbid unsafe in most crates in the engine (#12684)
# Objective
Resolves #3824. `unsafe` code should be the exception, not the norm in
Rust. It's obviously needed for various use cases as it's interfacing
with platforms and essentially running the borrow checker at runtime in
the ECS, but the touted benefits of Bevy is that we are able to heavily
leverage Rust's safety, and we should be holding ourselves accountable
to that by minimizing our unsafe footprint.

## Solution
Deny `unsafe_code` workspace wide. Add explicit exceptions for the
following crates, and forbid it in almost all of the others.

* bevy_ecs - Obvious given how much unsafe is needed to achieve
performant results
* bevy_ptr - Works with raw pointers, even more low level than bevy_ecs.
 * bevy_render - due to needing to integrate with wgpu
 * bevy_window - due to needing to integrate with raw_window_handle
* bevy_utils - Several unsafe utilities used by bevy_ecs. Ideally moved
into bevy_ecs instead of made publicly usable.
 * bevy_reflect - Required for the unsafe type casting it's doing.
 * bevy_transform - for the parallel transform propagation
 * bevy_gizmos  - For the SystemParam impls it has.
* bevy_assets - To support reflection. Might not be required, not 100%
sure yet.
* bevy_mikktspace - due to being a conversion from a C library. Pending
safe rewrite.
* bevy_dynamic_plugin - Inherently unsafe due to the dynamic loading
nature.

Several uses of unsafe were rewritten, as they did not need to be using
them:

* bevy_text - a case of `Option::unchecked` could be rewritten as a
normal for loop and match instead of an iterator.
* bevy_color - the Pod/Zeroable implementations were replaceable with
bytemuck's derive macros.

Use clippy::doc_markdown more. (#10286)
# Objective

- Remove special cases where `clippy::doc_markdown` lint is disabled.

## Solution

- Add default values back into `clippy.toml` by adding `".."` to the
list of `doc-valid-idents`.
- Add `"VSync"` and `"WebGL2"` to the list of `doc-valid-idents`.
- Remove all instances where `clippy::doc_markdown` is allowed.
- Fix `max_mip` formatting so that there isn't a warning.

25d222b73e Minimally fix the known unsoundness in bevy_mikktspace (#5299)

bdef86ea6e Generate vertex tangents using mikktspace (#3872)
# Objective

Models can be produced that do not have vertex tangents but do have normal map textures. The tangents can be generated. There is a way that the vertex tangents can be generated to be exactly invertible to avoid introducing error when recreating the normals in the fragment shader.

## Solution

- After attempts to get https://github.com/gltf-rs/mikktspace to integrate simple glam changes and version bumps, and releases of that crate taking weeks / not being made (no offense intended to the authors/maintainers, bevy just has its own timelines and needs to take care of) it was decided to fork that repository. The following steps were taken:
  - mikktspace was forked to https://github.com/bevyengine/mikktspace in order to preserve the repository's history in case the original is ever taken down
  - The README in that repo was edited to add a note stating from where the repository was forked and explaining why
  - The repo was locked for changes as its only purpose is historical
  - The repo was integrated into the bevy repo using `git subtree add --prefix crates/bevy_mikktspace git@github.com:bevyengine/mikktspace.git master`
  - In `bevy_mikktspace`:
    - The travis configuration was removed
    - `cargo fmt` was run
    - The `Cargo.toml` was conformed to bevy's (just adding bevy to the keywords, changing the homepage and repository, changing the version to 0.7.0-dev - importantly the license is exactly the same)
    - Remove the features, remove `nalgebra` entirely, only use `glam`, suppress clippy.
      - This was necessary because our CI runs clippy with `--all-features` and the `nalgebra` and `glam` features are mutually exclusive, plus I don't want to modify this highly numerically-sensitive code just to appease clippy and diverge even more from upstream.
- Rebase https://github.com/bevyengine/bevy/pull/1795
  - @jakobhellermann said it was fine to copy and paste but it ended up being almost exactly the same with just a couple of adjustments when validating correctness so I decided to actually rebase it and then build on top of it.
- Use the exact same fragment shader code to ensure correct normal mapping.
- Tested with both https://github.com/KhronosGroup/glTF-Sample-Models/tree/master/2.0/NormalTangentMirrorTest which has vertex tangents and https://github.com/KhronosGroup/glTF-Sample-Models/tree/master/2.0/NormalTangentTest which requires vertex tangent generation
